The inaugural Irish Music Festival 5K race on Saturday, October 4th in Hamilton's Veterans Park. A major advantage and distinguishing factor of this race is that it will be a USA Track and Field sanctioned event, which will increase runner participation and exposure. The 5K race will kick off Irish festival weekend, which in addition to the 5K race will include an Irish Pub Night at the Hibernians on Saturday evening to be followed by the 31st Annual Trenton Irish Festival on Sunday, October 5, 2014. Sunday's festival will be held on the Hibernian grounds located at 2419 Kuser Road, Hamilton Square, New Jersey. Proceeds benefit cultural events and scholarship programs for high school students.
