Morris Twp Turkey Trot's Marathon Miles

Marathon Miles: What is this? Kick-off your summer with a great fitness and fundraising challenge...keep it going through the Trot.

You choose your goals for the duration of the program and can even change them along the way as your fitness progresses!
Marathon Months!: The program runs from June 26 through November 26th (which is Turkey Trot 5K event day). A full 5 months to log those miles!

Every 26th will be a celebration day, whether you reached your goal, are still pushing towards it, or will chase it again next month.

Can you complete a marathon distance throughout your first month? How about more than one marathon per month as we edge in on November 26? Or start with a traditional Trot 5K distance throughout your first week, log one more each of the next 3 weeks, and push those last few days to hit your first cumulative half marathon (13.1 miles) for the month!
Weekly Challenges: Details coming soon!
Beginner Challenge: This challenge is great if you are new to running or walking, join the program closer to the Trot date, or perhaps for your younger children.

In the time leading up to the Trot, keep track of your mileage each time you go for a run or walk. The goal? Log a total of 23.1 or 25.2 miles by November 25th. You'll complete your marathon distance total with your final 5K (3.1 miles) or 1 Mile on Turkey Trot day!
Movin' Motivation: We'll provide suggested goals, but you can also create your own to fit your current and evolving fitness level. Join our community on Facebook and SHARE your goals and accomplishments! Each time you run or walk, snap a selfie, post it, and use #readfeedrun so we're sure to see you! Questions about your routes, goals, training plan? Tap the collective knowledge of the Trot community and ask away.
