| Frank Budd track meet: |
the Westside Community Center of Asbury Park is slponsoring the 1st Frank Budd annual track and field on July 15th 2006 at the Asbury Park HIgh School track and field oval. located on Sunset Avenue APNJStrating time 9am. We are honoring one of our own Mr Frank Budd. We are going to name the Asbury Park HIgh School track oval in hlis honor on this date.
Frank is an Asbury Park High School Graduate 1858 As a Student at APHS Frank was varsisty Basketball player,1st team All State Football player and All American High School Track performer. Frank attended and graduated from Villanova UNiversity were he was a 4 times NCAA TRACK CHAMPION and made theUnited States Olypmlic team as a 100 yard dash finalist and a member of the 4 x100 relay team. In 1962 Frank brokle the 20 year old 100 yard dash record of 9.3 by running a new world 100 yard dash record of 9.2
The meet events are for age 7 thru 17 Shot put, long Jump,100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters,800 meters,,1600 meters, 4 x 100 relay and mile relay for 12 to 14 and 15 to 17 Entry fee 3.00 per event Participant can enter 3 events not including relays
RAelays entry fee 8.00 each team.
Master and Senior Events 100 meters 200 meters and Mile run. entry fee 5.00 per event
Masters 46 thru ? Seniors 39to 45
Medals for the first 3 finishers in all events
Outstanding award to the outstanding male and female
7 thru 17 (4 to 6 finishers will recieve ribbons
Send entry fees indicating your participating events to Westside Community Center ,115 DeWitt Avenue, AsburyPark, New Jersey, 07712. Make check payable tothe WSCC TRACK MEET.
