The NJ FMBA Foundation’s goal is to raise funds to improve the health, safety and welfare of firefighters and their families. It also strives to assist the widows and children of our fallen heroes.
The 2007 Fallen Heroes 5K seeks to celebrate the lives of those men and women, raise funds to assist their families and increase awareness. Help us honor the service of members of the armed forces and all our domestic defenders.

Join us on September 9th as we remember 9-11.
Come honor our fallen heroes in this very fast point to point 5K with only 7 turns. Run past memorials, monuments, bag pipers and bands to a spectacular finish at Veteran’s Waterfront Park.
Bring your children so they may run in the Kids Dash for Heroes and be moved by our Memorial Commemorative Ceremony.
SCHEDULE
7:30am-Registration;
9:00am-First bus leaves for the start;
9:20am-Last bus leaves for the start;
9:45am-Fallen Heroes 5K;
10:30am-The party begins;
10:45am-Kids' Dash for Heroes, ages 2-11, distance 30-150 yards;
11:00 am-9/11 Memorial Commemorative Ceremony & Awards program.

USATF certified, closed, fast, point to point from Engine One to beautiful Veteran's Waterfront Park. Past monuments, bag pipes, bands and memorials. 2 water stops, clocks at each mile.

| Directions: |
From Garden State Parkway [North or South] Exit 137. Left onto Westfield Ave. Right onto Morris Ave. Keep to right under railroad arch (now on Broad St.). Left at 4th light onto Elizabeth Ave.. 2 miles to race parking.
From NJ Turnpike [North or South]: Exit 13. Keep to far right. Take 1st ramp on right. Stay to right. Turn right at 1st light onto Atlantic St. Stay to left at 1st light. At 3rd light, turn right onto 3rd Avenue. Follow to end. Left onto South 1st street. 2 blocks to race parking.
Route 22 East: Exit at Morris Ave. (Rt. 82 East). Go 5 miles. At end bear right under railroad arch (Broad St.). At 4th light, turn left onto Elizabeth Ave. Proceed to race parking.
Route 1 North or South: Route 1 South: Once in Elizabeth, go under two railroad bridges. Stay to far right. Before viaduct, go down ramp to right. Turn left onto Elizabeth ave. Proceed to race parking. Route 1 North: Go through Elizabeth. Go over viaduct. 1 mile to to jughandle at North Ave. to Rt. 1 South. Follow directions above.
