The mission of the Jersey City Waterfront Parks Conservancy (JCWPC) is to restore, enhance, protect and preserve open spaces on Jersey City's waterfront to improve the quality of life for current and future generations. In 2007, the JCWPC, began the "Connect the Parks" initiative, as part of its effort to protect and restore some of the last undeveloped open spaces along the New York / New Jersey waterfront. This initiative will focus on five disparate parcels of waterfront park land located along the Hudson River and Little Morris Basin in the historic Paulus Hook section of Jersey City. The goal of the JCWPC is to integrate and revitalize these five parcels of land to create one large contiguous and properly managed park that will be enjoyed by the people who live, work and visit Jersey City. You can learn more about the JCWPC at www.jcwpc.org.
