Let's see... A warm July night in trendy, upscale Westfield. Add a fast and scenic 5K, a great--and we mean great!--band and an amenities package that can't be beat. Did we forget the pizza? It all adds up to the 8th Annual Downtown Westfield 5K and Pizza Extravaganza.
The fast course will challenge you, and you'll finish at Elm and Broad streets in the heart of downtown. Come early, stay late, as we entertain and feed you. We'll also throw in some neat surprises. (Hint--Embroidered hat to first 600 entrants.) We expect 2000 runners in 2009!
Westfield is a snap to find using the Garden State Parkway or Route 22. Pre-registration guarantees a T-shirt to the first 2000 and a cap to the first 600.

THE DOWNTOWN WESTFIELD CORPORATION....Since its formation in 1996, the Downtown Westfield Corporation's ( DWC ) efforts have resulted in Westfield, NJ being a nationally recognized successful downtown. The DWC's mission is to make Westfield, NJ a preferred destination where people want to live, work and visit by promoting activities that compliment existing businesses and service.

USATF NBNJ 500 point Grand Prix Event, rolling and flat past well-groomed neighborhoods and upscale shops and restaurants.
Fees: $21. [USATF $19.] until 7/17
$25 thereafter and on race day.

7:00pm - 5K Race start(East Broad St.)
7:45pm-Awards and Party(Quimby St.)
Top 3 overall male and female.
Top 3 male and female in each age group.
Top 3 Westfield finishers male and female.

From GSP, North or South: Exit 135, follow signs to Westfield via Central Ave. Go 2.5 miles to South Ave., turn left onto South Ave. and right into the Westfield Train Station.
From Route 22--Take Park Ave. (Scotch Plains) Exit. Park Ave. becomes Martine Ave.. Go over railroad overpass and make first left onto South Ave. Westfield train station is 1 mile ahead on the left.

Parking is FREE at the North and South Avenue Train Station Parking Lots. If parking at the South Ave. lot, use the underpass and follow race signs. |
